First Steps Preschool’s mission is to provide quality care for your children while meeting their physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs. We accept students aged one year to school age. We accept all ELC and VPK students.

Lunch Program:

At First Steps Preschool + Child Care, we believe in nourishing both the mind and body. Our carefully curated lunch program is approved by the USDA and ensures that your child receives a balanced and nutritious meal, promoting healthy development and sustained energy for the day's activities.  We provide free breakfast, lunch and snacks.  Parents will be emailed a form for the free lunches after the registration application has been completed.

Before and After School Care

Extend the learning experience beyond the classroom with our Before and After School Care programs. Our dedicated staff creates a supportive environment where children can complete homework, engage in enriching activities, and build lasting friendships.


For Before care, the child will be dropped off at our Early Childhood Learning Center, and we will bus your elementary child to either Sunray Elementary or Gulfside Elementary School.


For After school care, the child will be picked up from Sunray Elementary or Gulfside Elementary School at the end of the school day and brought to our Early Childhood Learning Center where you can pick them up.

Transportation:

We understand the challenges of a busy schedule. Our reliable transportation services provide a convenient solution, ensuring your child arrives safely and punctually at our early childhood learning center. We bus students from 2 different locations - Sunray Elementary School and Gulfside Elementary School

Infant Care

  • Age Group: Newborns starting at 6 wks to Pre-Walkers or 1 Year
  • Dedicated care for your littlest ones, fostering a secure and comforting environment for early development.
  • We focus on caring for your child, making sure they have outdoor playing as well as circle time


Toddler Class

  • Age Group: Walkers 1 Year until 2 Years
  • Active and exploratory care tailored to toddlers, encouraging socialization and foundational learning.
  • We continue to create a fun learning environment with more learning activities through play


3 Yr Class

  • Age Group: 2-3 Years Old
  • Preparing young minds for academic success through engaging activities and age-appropriate curriculum.
  • We offer more activities - circle time, arts and crafts, playground time, reading time

VPK

  • Age Group: 4-5 Years Old
  • Comprehensive learning experiences designed to meet and exceed kindergarten readiness standards.
  • Computer and science is added to our curriculum
  • We perform standardized tests 3 times through the school year
  • Our 3 hour program is FREE!
